A Walk Across an Open Field

The concept of the exhibition ‘A Walk Across an Open Field’ comes from a Russian proverb in an essay ‘Field’ written by John Berger in 1971. This exhibition shows works that are not easy to show together because of the requirement of space. It is including a work ‘Lonely Land’ which has been destroyed during my study in Paris. This platform provides the possibilities of time and space. It is meaningful for me to bring this piece back and to show with other works together in this virtual gallery. Moreover, this is not only to exhibit works but also to exhibit a part of the inner space of mine. This space also responds to the mental space in my works. It is a chamber for storing memories and emotions: It is a cabinet of curiosities for memories.
